The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) Handbooks of International Quality Control, Auditing, Review, Other Assurance, and Related Services Pronouncements have been adopted and issued by the IRBA. South African Standards and Practice Statements

The IRBA has issued several South African Auditing Practice Statements (SAAPS). SAAPS provide practical assistance to auditors in the implementation of relevant International or South African Standards. Read more

Guides and Circulars for Auditors

Guides provide guidance to auditors in meeting specific legislative requirements imposed by another regulator and are generally subject- or industry specific. Circulars comprise part of the South African pronouncements adopted and issued by the IRBA. Currently there is only one circular on the Afrikaans Glossary of Terms. Read more
